The Australian and New Zealand Student Services Association (ANZSSA) invites submissions for the ANZSSA 2026 Conference, to be held in Melbourne from 25–27 November 2026.

The conference program will showcase innovative practice, research‑informed approaches, and lived experience across student services, wellbeing, engagement, and success in tertiary education.

You will be directed to the submission site.

Please create a profile by following the prompts. You will receive an email to verify.
Once verified, you will be redirected to the site where you can begin your abstract submission.

Who should submit

Submissions are welcomed from:

  • Student services practitioners
  • Professional and academic staff
  • Leaders and managers in tertiary education
  • Researchers and policy professionals
  • Students and recent graduates (including co‑presentations with staff)

ANZSSA strongly encourages submissions that incorporate student voice, partnership, and co‑creation.

Presentation types

The ANZSSA 2026 program will include a mix of:

  • Oral presentations
  • Sparks Session
  • Poster

Review process

All submissions will be reviewed by the ANZSSA Program Committee against published selection criteria.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission in August 2026.

Selection criteria

All submissions will be reviewed based on the following criteria: 

  • Relevance to the conference themes
  • Relevance to contemporary professional practice and connections to relevant research/evidence base
  • Presents key issues of broader interest to the ANZSSA community
  • Transferability, scalability and application beyond the original context
  • Quality of the written abstract
  • Compliance with the word count and format requirements for abstracts (as per template)

Presenter registration

All accepted presenters are required to register for the conference.
Presenter entitlements and registration requirements will be outlined in the presenter guidelines issued following acceptance.

Pre conference Symposium submissions

Submissions specific to the Pre‑Conference Symposium may be invited as part of the Call for Papers process.
Details regarding symposium streams, facilitators, and eligibility will be released once the program framework is confirmed.
